Remember this old saying!?, or the ole slogan “Neither rain, nor snow, nor heat, nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds”, the quote, inscribed on a post office in New York City, refers to couriers in the ancient Persian Empire.Well with the weather we have been having lately, and our Canada Post postal strike recently being settled ( hangover effects still present) I thought I would post on some interesting things we are noticing. It was said there was over 500 trucks with mail in them and that it would take till next year to clear up the back log. This is a fair statement and to be expected, no complaints here, it will take time to get the volume sorted out. Remember as well the Christmas letters as well and all parcels and you can just imagine the backlog of mail. This week we have received letters postmarked from 1-8 weeks, cheques written in October, and even priority post items sent 2 months ago are now just showing up. So, with that being said, please remember that just because you sent it does not mean we have it yet!
