About the NWT Court System
Legal proceedings in the Northwest Territories are governed by the Rules of the Supreme Court of the Northwest Territories. The main courthouse is the Yellowknife Courthouse, which houses the Supreme Court of the Northwest Territories and the Territorial Court. The court also travels on circuit to communities across the territory.
