About our Charlottetown Process Servers

Born in Souris, PEI, David Aitken grew up in the Fortune Bridge area and graduated from the Souris Regional High School. He worked locally at a few jobs, including a bank, before joining the RCMP in 1967. While in the RCMP he served in Ontario, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, retiring after 35 years of service.

While working, he was taking university courses, and in 1990 and received a BA degree from the University of Prince Edward Island. While in Ontario ('69-70) David served in the Toronto area, including one year at Toronto International Airport. In Nova Scotia ('71-86), he was mostly involved in the usual detachment type of work, including supervision of other members. David worked in most regions of Nova Scotia except Cape Breton. In PEI ('86-2002) he worked in Commercial Crime, Criminal Operations, as a Detachment Commander and as the Federal Policing NCO.

He is familiar with most of P.E.I. and being centrally located would be within an hour and a half of any location on the Island, making it quite easy to serve documents anywhere in this province.

Derek Smith served with the RCMP from 1975 until 2005. He has several years' experience in dealing with the federal and provincial court system.

Derek looks forward to assisting Dave in serving your documents in and around Charlottetown.
